AWS Class ER308/308H SAW wires are mainly made of iron, featuring 18–20% chromium and 9–12% nickel, which provide outstanding corrosion resistance and toughness. They may also include trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon, with ER308H having a slightly higher carbon content for improved strength at elevated temperatures.
